Brighter Days Home Care LLC is a State of Tennessee Licensed, non-medical home care agency (companion and personal care). We are a local / independently owned company (Non-Franchise). Co-Owner’s Brian and Robin McInturff have been lifelong residents of East Tennessee. Brian and Robin have three children.

Robin holds an Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Robin worked as a dental hygienist for several years before deciding to stay home with their youngest child. Robin is a devoted wife and mother. She is committed to providing excellent care to our community and providing quality jobs to caregivers. Brian holds Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering and Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Brian has held several corporate positions in sales, marketing and management. Brian and Robin maintain a high-level of community support and advocacy for seniors and the disabled.

Why Brighter Days Home Care?
Unfortunately, we have all faced or will face tough decisions with caring for our loved ones. Over the course of several years, we have watched our loved ones either care for others or need care themselves. We witnessed the burden of our parents caring for their aging parents. This led us to conduct a lengthy research to understand the in-home caregiving in our community. We reached out to several home care agencies to understand the services and resources provided to their clients. Our research concluded the following four concerns:
One noticeable concern is matching a qualified caregiver with the client. We understand that no two clients are the same nor will they require the same care plan. The client’s and family’s needs are not clearly understood or defined which results in poor care. We believe the most crucial factor of providing quality service is selecting the “right” caregiver. Without a qualified caregiver, it is difficult to provide the necessary care for the client. Before placing any caregiver into client’s home, we ask ourselves at Brighter Days Home Care: “Would we use this caregiver if this was our mother, father or grandparents?”
Another glaring concern is many of the home care agencies have lost touch with what is meant to provide quality care. Some of the agencies we reached out seemed to be more interested in just taking orders and less focused on the needs of the clients.
The third is recruiting and taking care of quality caregivers. The turnover rate for caregivers is astronomical. Caregivers are the heart of any home care agency and should be a top priority to retain hard working caregivers. As mentioned above, without quality caregivers, we will not be able to serve our clients and their needs. Our goal is to provide a family friendly work environment and rewarding careers for our caregivers. We recruit caregivers that possess the following traits… Compassion, Maturity, Reliability and Honesty.
Lastly, we reached out to home care agencies to identify other resources they provide outside of the standard in-home caregiving. Unfortunately, these agencies provided little assistance to family caregivers. We understand many families cannot afford 24/7 care for their loved ones. Because we realize this can be an emotional and financial burden for many families, we offer an exciting new resource to better educate family caregivers on taking care of loved ones at home. The educational videos provide some valuable and useful information for the family caregiver. This resource is located on the “Family Caregiver Learning Center” tab and is offered at no charge to our East Tennessee communities.
At Brighter Days Home Care LLC, we feel it is extremely important to work together and include all parties (clients, families, caregivers) to define the client’s needs and how we can better serve our clients. Our goal is to strive to exceed our client’s expectations in every way and go the “extra mile” to ensure the best care available.
